About me

I’ve loved drawing people for as long as I can remember.

Portraits and human figures were always what I naturally came back to when I was little, and that fascination has stayed with me. Over time, drawing developed into painting, and painting became a way for me to explore not only people, but the spaces, colours and relationships around them.

Today, I create contemporary figurative paintings filled with colour, expressive shapes and stylised figures. I’m inspired by everyday scenes and the little moments that might otherwise go unnoticed, people sharing a meal, spending time together, sitting quietly, travelling, or simply enjoying being in the same place.

I’m especially interested in the feeling of a scene rather than telling the viewer exactly what they are looking at. This is why my figures often have no defined faces. I like the idea that they can belong to anyone. A painting might remind one person of a sister, another of a mother, a friend, or a memory from years ago.

Colour is a huge part of how I paint. I’m naturally drawn to warm, sunlit palettes, rich oranges and terracottas, dusty pinks, deep reds, greens and unexpected touches of blue. I love allowing colour and imperfect architectural shapes to give a painting its own atmosphere.

I work intuitively, often building a painting through layers of paint, marks and texture. I enjoy experimenting with different materials and techniques, and I don’t want every painting to feel perfectly controlled. Some of my favourite parts are the unexpected ones that happen along the way.

I was delighted to take part in the Manchester Open Exhibition 2026, an experience that gave me the opportunity to share my work alongside artists from across the region and encouraged me to keep pushing my practice forward.

My goal is simple, to make paintings that people feel something towards paintings that bring colour into a room, but also leave you with a memory, a feeling, or a story of your own.

Thank you for being here and for following my journey.
